    The National Diploma in Computer Science provides a strong foundation in programming, algorithms, data structures, computer architecture, and software development. Students gain practical experience through projects and industrial attachment.

    The programme is designed to produce technically competent graduates who can apply theoretical knowledge to solve practical problems in computer science. Students develop critical thinking, professional ethics, and entrepreneurial skills alongside their technical training, preparing them for immediate employment or further education. The curriculum is regularly reviewed in consultation with industry partners to ensure relevance to current and emerging trends.

    Entry Requirements

    To be considered for admission into the ND Computer Science programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

    • Five O'Level credits including Mathematics, English, and any two of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Further Mathematics
    • JAMB UTME with relevant subjects
    • Minimum JAMB score as determined by the Polytechnic for the session

    Note: Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission. Admission is competitive and based on available slots, JAMB score, and post-UTME performance.

    The Computer Science curriculum is structured over 2 years (4 semesters), divided into four semesters. Each semester comprises a balanced mix of core courses, general studies (GST) and practicals. Total programme load is 62 credit units.
