Five simple steps to join our community
Apply via JAMB
Candidates must sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and select Bola Ahmed Tinubu Federal Polytechnic as a choice institution.
Check Eligibility
Ensure you meet the O'Level requirements for your chosen programme — five credits including English and Mathematics, plus programme-specific subjects.
Attend Screening
Participate in the Polytechnic's post-UTME screening exercise. Bring your UTME slip, O'Level results, and other required documents.
Admission List
Check the admission list on the Polytechnic portal and the JAMB CAPS portal. Accept or reject the offer within the specified period.
Registration
Pay the acceptance fee, complete online registration, and attend the orientation programme for new students.
Entry Requirements
General requirements for National Diploma (ND) programmes
Five (5) O'Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics
Credits must be obtained at not more than two sittings (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB)
Specific subject requirements vary by programme — see programme pages for details
Candidates must sit for the JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
UTME subject combination must match the chosen programme
Minimum UTME score as determined by the Polytechnic for the session
HND Requirements
For Higher National Diploma programmes
National Diploma (ND) in the relevant programme with minimum of Lower Credit
One year post-ND industrial attachment (evidence required)
O'Level credits as required for the ND programme
Candidates with Pass grade at ND may be considered if they have 2+ years post-ND experience
Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission — selection is competitive
